Access Control Systems Hedgehog Engineering Ltd can supply either stand alone or computer operated systems. Both types of system can have the following peripherals connected: Swipe card systems, use a credit card sized card that has a unique code embedded either within the magnetic strip or into an infra red stripe. PIN entry systems, require the use of a unique code number. For added security a 'scramble' code pad can be installed, the numbers on this code pad appear in random positions and can only be read from a short distance. Combined swipe card and PIN systems, have an increased security level. Access to the premises can only be gained by swiping the card and entering the PIN number. Biometric readers, these are by far the most secure access control measure. We can also supply fingerprint recognition and iris recognition systems.
